I've got a GE Profile Artica from about 10 years ago, PSS25SG something. So far, I have had to replace the water solenoid (filled with crud from plumbing work years ago), the damper door( the usual fall apart) and the mother board (controls for optional functions got funky). Now it's doing something new. When you get ice, most of the time the water will stop flowing as well if you don't wait until at least the light is out and sometime longer. After that, you have to wait some hours before the water valve will start working again, and when it does sometimes it starts as a drip or a trickle that eventually turns into a full blown flow, and sometimes it just starts working. The valve sound is almost indistinguishable when it is just going onto drip or trickle mode, but there when it decides to work. In addition, the vegetable and deli drawers freeze up semi regularly. I'm thinking I have another crapped out mother board, but have limited ability to troubleshoot the thing. I know this thing is a decaying piece of junk, but really don't have the money to replace it right now. Any thoughts? My wife had a GE guy come out while she was on medical leave but of course it was working that day.

your water resevoir is behind those freezeing crispers, if you pay attention to when the water does not flow you will probably find it happens whenever the crispers are frozen(cause the resevoir will be frozen too)
