I replaced the oven ignitor because the gas was not coming on (no typical gas sound) & ignitor was slow to come on. After replacing oven ignitor the the gas still did not come on and new ignitor stayed glowing until I turned oven off. Hmmmmm? The broiler ignitor comes on fine and I get the gas hissing sound but no flame! Does this sound like a gas valve problem or electrical problem? All wisdom greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your quick reply! The oven portion of the unit has not worked (no gas, but the ignitor comes on) for 6 months. Not in storage. All other functions have worked.

The Ignitor and Gas Valve are both energized as long as the Oven calls for heat. If the Ignitor is glowing, (normally about 3 Amps), the Gas Valve (1 OHM) should have about 3v AC across the respective Coil. If so, and there's still no Gas for Bake, but the Broiler Gas Valve works (somewhat), would indicate a bad Gas Valve.
