Help! -- I am desperately searching for a replacement part for my Caloric ERR-389 electric combination range. It is the plug-in oven meat-probe Caloric/Maytag/Whirlpool Part 0064106. Whirlpool now marks the part as NLA and I have not been able to find a single source for one, even from the antique appliance parts dealers like Angel Appliances or on Ebay. I haven't even been able to find a photo of one. I don't have the original part, alas, to compare a modern one with to try and cross reference. Does anyone know of someone who may have an original one, or alternatively, a different compatible replacement meat probe that would work? Possibly one from another manufacturer like GE or whatnot? Thanks!!!!!!!!

Are these numbers all for the same part -- or are these for different meat probe models that will interchangeably fit? If these are all NLA, would there be another brand of meat probe with the same jack and electrical characteristics etc that could be interchanged, such as a GE model, etc? So frustrating! Thanks!

Well, so are my parents but we can still get replacement parts for them! Kidding aside, I was able to dig up a replacement meat probe for my former 1964 GE 40" range (plus even a new rotisserie kit), all from using new GE parts used in their more current ranges -- even though the old part was long since discontinued as NLA. You seem to be very knowledgeable about all these parts so perhaps you would know of a different manufacturer's part that would work in place of the original? Do you possibly have a photo of the old Caloric part I could have? Some local appliance parts shops have said they could try to match a new retrofit part by seeing the old part. Is there any retrofit meat probes you can recommend that will work in this range? There are no current GE meat probes one can just use in place of the old Caloric/Maytag/Whirlpool probe, or none one can safely use from a current Bosch model or LG, Kenmore, etc., or whatnot? Did Caloric/Raytheon/Amana/Maytag/Whirlpool itself even make the probe in its own plants or did they have an outside supplier produce them? Ughhh this is so frustrating. It's like being told you will have to live with a broken classic car because Packard is no longer around to sell the engine thermostat.... This is really the coolest range and I'd like to do anything I can to fully restore its full functions. Thanksgiving is coming up too.... Thanks!
