LG Refrigerator #LFC21760 bottom freezer side by side doors

The interior lights are staying on with the doors closed.  The digital display goes off when door switches are pressed (doors closed) but lights stay on.  Any hints on what to look for?  I'm assuming the control board is bad.

The MAIN BOARD is one of the components needed.

Post the SERIAL NUMBER.

Serial Number 612KRTA00433.  The display housing melted where the screws secure it from the heat of the bulbs, but I can probably salvage that.

This repair is **usually** done by LG for free.

Call LG Customer Service: 1-800-342-0000

Parts needed:

1) Main Board 6871JB1423N

2) Lens Cover 3550JA1388B

3) Reflector 3034JA1009A

4) Case / Housing 3110JA1096A

5) Sockets 6621JK2003B

6) Overlay 3806JL1035B

The new MAIN BOARD has a much larger lightbulb-relay---which reduces the possibility of a repeat.

In addition--the SOCKET ASSY has a THERMOSTAT wired-in. This shuts off the light bulbs if the temperature of the lightbulbs & the housing becomes too hot.
