HE ....NO.......Crap...pretty much....warranty I'll have to look but probably not. Does the motor run when it should be spinning? If so lay the machine down, remove the belt. inspect the top of the tranny pulley for melting plastic. Also, if you turn the pulley counter clockwise the metal disk directly above the pulley should raise up abut 1/4" (releasing brakes) to allow the tub to spin if its not raising then your thrust bearing kit may be bad or the brakes can be stuck....has the machine been sitting up unused? If the brake rotor didn't raise turn the pulley 1/4 turn CCW and stick a big flat head screw driver between the pulley spokes and between the disk and the frame and twist the screwdriver. If you feel movement and here a little pop then the brakes were probably stuck. Stand the machine back us and see if it will now spin. If so you may need to dissassemble the brakes and clean or replace some components. Let us know before you dissassemble anything.

If the agitator is rotating back and forth during the spin cycle the transmission is bad. I'll try and check the warranty later today, if the the unit was bought after Jan 1 2006 it only has a (1) year warranty , Unless an extended warranty was purchased.

pop off the E clip and the pulley and washers come right off. If there are several washers don't mix them up, they must go a certain way. (old style has several washers , new style doesn't). The tranny is showing a 10 year warranty for that serial # You will have to call Whirlpool and have an authorized tech come out to verify if you wanna go the warranty route. Only parts are covered by warranty...service call and labor is on you probably $200-$250

If you thinking of a Cabrio I suggest purchasing the MFG. Extended warranty, not the retailers.

At least the new one is much easier to work on than the Cabrio. I think this design is much better than the Cabrio we've come to hate and will have better results.

No, its a good deal and I think you'll be much happier with the new design Vs. The old one.
