I can't get to the following link either

http://applianceguru.com/view_topic.php?id=2497&forum_id=3

I just rcvd a new ADC but this one has "Door" in place or the older "TEST" lead. I found another post stating this newer board required to cycle the temp control on/off 3 times within 6 seconds. SHorting L1 to Door will no longer work.

I tried this but no luck in trying to force the defrost.  Anyone have any thoughts?

I've checked the defrost tstat and it opens/closes correctly.   I think what I will try next is unplug the ADC then jumper the yellow to white. this will put 120VAC across the defrost heater so it should defrost then.

Greetings Samurai and followers.

Is this thread still active?

I have the same problems with my fridge that others have listed here. Freeser is cold but no air flow into the food compartment.

Although I have signed up and made the token love donation I cant see the threads the relate to forcing a defrost, etc.  I did, however, figure out from what I can see- where the ADC board is and I have found C2 bad and replaced it.

I'd like to force a defrost and run other checks that might be helpfull.  How does one gain access to the threads of wisdom locked away in your realm?

Thanks!

to test, turn the Cold Control to MAX COLD, then momentarily jumper the connectors on the ADC board L1 to TEST.

The Compressor shpuld stop, and the defrost cycle should start.

you should now be able to see the threads and attachments.

try this thread
