We had a burn out of our Kenmore 790.99123400 electric range. I've replaced the clock/timer unit as well as the control board next to it. The oven works fine. The convection oven works fine too. What doesn't work is the stove top. When we put power to any of the rings, we almost immediately get an F5 01 error code and the burner shuts down. Any thoughts oh great one!

Check the sensor resistance, ideally at a couple different temperatures. Measure as accurately as you can and report the temp./resistances here.

Gol durn, Reg-- how'd you cross the Kenmore model number over to the Friggidaire equivalent so you could locate the correct manual? :silly:

790.99123400 is at Frigidaire

http://b2b.frigidaire.com/support/manuals.asp

parts manual shows

Clock/Timer, electronic, ES565

searched some Frigidaire Service Manual I had for "ES5"
