first of all thank you for whoever reads this post. well my problem is that i bought this mini fridge (Sanyo SR-3770S) from a guy for $20. The only problem that he told me it had was that it wasnt cooling anymore, he gave me the pieces that needed to be replaced from what i found out its the overload relay switch..??? they are attached to the compressor. Im including some pictures so that you guys know what im talking about. know im trying to put them back just to make sure it really doesnt cool but i dont know which wire goes where??? can anyone tell me where this two wires go? and my second question is if i want to replace these parts WHO has them? ive looked around and it looks like sanyo doesnt really have any backup! and am i correct about the name? thank you once again for whoever reads this!

Also, there should be a wiring diagram stuck to the unit somewhere that will map out where the wires go - the terminals of the relay will have tiny numbers beside them which will correspond to the diagram print

ok first thanks for the replies! now...i found the diagram and i hooked the 2 wires that needed to be connected, one to the over load protector and one to the ptc thermistor. once i did that and plugged in the mini fridged nothing came on, no sound no clicking nothing, like its dead? what can be the problem? thanks

You need to verify that there is 120VAC getting to the compressor...put 1 meter lead on each of those 2 wires..... No voltage equals bad cold control (most likely) If you have voltage you will need to remove the relay and overload and comfirm voltage coming out of them ...if you have voltage coming out (to the compressor) then the compressor is toast. If there is no voltage coming out then the relay or the overload is bad (replace them both).

OK before i do anything else i plugged in the refrigerator but nothing turned on! no clicking...humming it's like if i never plugged it in? is the refrigerator totally done for? or should i continue checking the relay/thermistor as stated on the last post?

you need to see if the power is actually reaching the compressor or if it's being held up at the thermostat (you could jumper out the thermostat)

I really appreciate everyones help but im really new to this and i dont know what you mean by jumper out the thermostat? how is that done? another thing would i be able to use parts from another mini fridge that fits my mini fridge eventhough they are different brands?

I have one for some reason but never used it... im pretty sure i can find a website that will tell me how to use it. i just need to know what pins to test...at first i thought it wasnt cooling but now it's just completely dead

put it on at least 120 VAC and read the 2 wires going to the compressor with the unit plugged in..do you have 120V ?

check for 120v from each side of the Overload Protector to the chassis (ground) If OK, then check for 120v from either side of the Overload Protector to each of the (3) sides of the PTC Thermistor with power disconnected, and the PTC Thermistor (Start Relay) removed: check OHMs between each pair of the (3) terminals of the Compressor should be somewhere between 2 to 12 OHMs and infinity to chassis (ground)

after trying to do everything instucted on the last post i wasnt able to get 120v on anything but i was able to get a good OHMs reading on the terminals.
