I have an LG Dishwasher, Model# LDF7811ST. I kept getting an error code for the drain being stopped up, so I took off the drain tube under the machine and found two black rubber disks clogging the drain. I removed them, and I am still getting the error code, OE for drain trouble. Any ideas on what the rubber disks are? One is thicker than the other; they are about 1/2 in round and flat, about 1/8 thick. Any ideas?

maybe a flapper for pump or checkvalve...pull the drain pump and have a look.

Your right! They seem to be flapper valves of some kind. It was connected to the drain just before it goes out the drain tube. Do you have any idea why all my seals on this machine are turning to soft black goop? Is that normal for LG? I use Cascade dish washing liquid. I would also like to know what my options are. Does that whole gray plastic thing need to be replaced in order to get it to work? Everything seems to be connected to it Do you have a parts break down so I know what I’m in for? LOL Thanks Appreciate your help.

side- we haven't been able to figure out what is causing the drain error. we've replaced drain motors and it returned within 2 washes. i don't like to but i just replace the whole assembly. lg doesn't seem to have a good filter system. tried to get one apart after replacing assembly it wasn't pretty gasket all out of shape impeller wouldn't come off. replacing motor and sump you'll be pulling machine out turning it on it's side to get to access panel. good luck these are fun. sears parts site has a breakdown.
