did you check the damper assembly? its contrlooed by a board...it may be clogged up with frost and unable to open and close properly.

There's (2) Cold Controls .. which one did you change ? also, what's the Freezer temperature ? If the Freezer temperature isn't cold enough, the Compressor may still run. although there is also a Fridge Damper Motor w/Switches FRS23R4CQ3 Parts Manual & Wiring Diagrams

ice can form on the damper assembly causing it to jam, you can start by unplugging the fridge and blowing a hair dryer in there for a few minutes carefull not too hot cause you can melt and warp the styrofoam this is a easy place/way to start

make sure your light is turning off when the door closes if the light stays on the heat from the bulb warms the control enough that it will not cycle properly

how old is this fridge? does it have the "extra ice" button on the dispensor? and are any of the lights on the dispensor face doing anything erratic? i.e more lights on than should be, extra ice light always on, etc if you dont know the age of the fridge post the serial number Last edited on Sat Mar 13th, 2010 03:05 am by BrntToast ____________________ The only stupid question is the one not asked hope i've been helpfull, if you wish to buy Brnt beer kick here http://brnttoast.googlepages.com/home feel free to prvt msg frigidaire questions my way (i dont log in every day) |

Just watch the fridge proiodically..try to catch it when the cold control is satisfied and the compressor is shut off. During this state the damper should be closed.

There shouldn't be any air blowing if the freezer is off, but the damper door should be closed if the compressor isn't running. It should open when the compressor comes on.
