Did a search and found related problems but those seem to reference ice buildup.

This is my story, sad but true.

Came home from work, beer section reading 48 degrees, ice section reading -17

Noticed no cold air entering beer area. Pulled off back section and noted damper door was closed. Manually opened door half way and plugged back in. cold air now entering beer area until door closed again.

Does the temp display use the same sensors as the control unit? If so I imagine they are OK (I'm usually incorrect when I imagine though)

Any ideas where to start?

I placed the damper door half way and left it unplugged to allow airflow top and bottom until I figure it out.

Did not notice any ice build-up around the damper, or anywhere else for that matter.

This is a GE bottom freezer and I really hate it. 2 control boards and an evap motor so far and I know I'm not done.

Finally, can GE make their bulbs burn any hotter? DAMHIK (typing with left hand only)

Thanks for any help

Last year I found the recall on this site when I was having trouble with the evap motor. I contacted GE and they offered no help. Tired of fighting with manufacturers I ordered an evap motor and board. It has been operating perfectly for a year.

This morning the frig was 28 and the freeezer 6 (after I put the damper (blend door?) midway.

We had a brief power outage 1 week ago and the board seems to fail after that happens. I guess I'll try a new board.

Are the same sensors(thermisters) used for the display? The reason I ask is I used a Fluke meter with a temp sensor and the frig and freezer actual temps do match the display.

Is there a diagnostic manual available?

So did anyone figure out how to enter diagnostics with the four pad temp control? I can get the flashing 0's but then I'm in a pickle and warm pickle at that.

I don't want to buy the membrane, cover, and harness just for this.

I will remove the temp control and hope it's a standard that has the contacts on the membrane but they use a different cover based on features. With my luck, none, this won't be the case.

Thanks for listening.

I'm not making this up.
I'm in the process of a bathroom remodel so I had my daughter transfer everything from this refrigerator to my 26 year old never skipped a beat basement refrigerator.
The temps were reading -17 freezer 48 FF after everything was emptied and I took a break from my other project to play with the frig the temp reading was 0 freezer 36 FF go figure.
If anyone has the same problem to fix it empty it.

My guess would be that something froze and then unfroze during the transfer process.

That is funny, though.
