I can get through the easy stuff in taking this thing apart, since it sounds like a garbage disposal eating an entire setting of flatware, but I can't get to the next level.

Help!

I removed the arm, the torx screws holding the cover, but I don't know where to go from here.....do I remove the black impelling looking thing? If so, I can't see how to lock the shaft whilst I slack the huge nut.....or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Help, the dishes are piling up fast and the SO is looking at me out of the side of her eyes....

I used a large socket and pair of vise grips to hold socket and a nut drive to remove the bolt.
