I know. . . I am still working on my refrigerator problem, but the dishwasher I inherited when I moved in is also kind of weak.

The soap dispenser almost never opens up and lets the clean, tasty goodness that is soap out to clean the dishes.

I sort of think it might be an ancient spring, so I thought about this part: 3276

But, I am not sure if it might not also be the mechanical bits: 903958

I am not sure how to tell what is not working. The dispenser just doesn't open. I write software for a living and when it comes to hardware I tend to be less than effective. Is there a way I can tell what is not working so pretty good?

can you release the Dispenser Door at all ?

If yes, do the Springs "pop" it open ?

If yes, it may be an electrical release problem.

I have the tech sheet that was inside the door. That has a schematic in it.

If I remember, on this model, you can close the dispenser door and rotate the timer and the door will open at the correct time by the  cam on the timer....Have the door open and watch the dispenser door open  . It is all mechanical from the timer to the door assy.... remove the  door liner and make sure all of the parts are in the correct location...the detergent door opening mechanism is self-adjusting...start at the timer and work your way down.....

I don't have a scanner, but I should be able to take a pic with my digital camera then crop it, size it, and upload.

So, I leave the door open and then physically turn the main timer and the dispenser will pop open? I'll try it tonight.

The problem is intermittent though. Sometimes the door opens and sometimes it doesn't. My rough guess (I haven't kept a log) is that it opens about 25% of the time.
