hello all,

working on the oven, found the ignitor not glowing. here is what happens, start the bake/broil cycle and hear 2 clicks, but no glow. i did a voltage test on the ignitors (round type with 1 lead coming out of them, put 1 probe on the lead and the other on ground.) and recorded 54 volts, no change when i started the cycle. not sure what to check on the safety valve, there is 3 wires on the valve.

blue   on top

orange   middle

red      bottom

don't have a service manual for this oven.  don't know how do a ohms test on the ignitor( only 1 lead on it). the ignitor line goes to a board on the top left side of the oven ( this is if you are standing in front of it.)

any pointers are great appreciated.

correct model #SF362LXSQ 0
thanks

Can you verify the model number...The list indicates SF36 with a 7-8- or a 9  as the third digit........................I'm betting on a 7.....That is the only complete model number.................Tech sheet 9762937...............  P.S. that is a spark ignitor .....It has power thru the one wire, thru the module... the spark arcs over to  the closest neutral ............

SF362LXSQ0

that model doesn't use a Glow Ignitor..

It uses a High-Voltage Spark Ignitor

alright! found the problem. the solenoids the gas regulator did not ohm out, should read 216 ohm. broil side reads194 and bake side nothing. according to the tech sheet "if one of the solenoids is defective neither one will operate". hope there no other problems after this is replaced.

unfortunately i must replace the whole gas valve, about $110 + tax.

thank you for all your help:)

If you're not getting a spark at the oven burner, then you may still have the problem of no ignition.
