model# tcs18padblbs ser# ga908344v The evap fan is was hitting ice for some time and eventually stopped. Is it likely that the only issue is the drain? Also if the fan was stopped up in ice that the motor is gone? Last edited on Thu Nov 11th, 2010 03:20 pm by johnjohn |

the first pic is ice in the freezer in the second picture that line seems to be frozen where it enters the box with the insulation. also theres water on it i assume from the ice freezing. That line is a bit warm where it comes from the motor. the motor is running and so is the condenser fan. The bottom panel of the fridge has condensation on it. sorry for the double pics

so i took the top bottom panel off the fridge not positive it was supposed to come out this way and found the fan blade lodged in ice. Im sure it failed although when it thaws i will test it out. I suppose it may be an issue with the drain line. Can anyone provide some insight?

its common for the drain tube on the back of the fridge to develop a kink at the straps that hold it in place. make sure the tube makes nice smooth bends.
