This range is about 8 years old or so.The burners all work fine. The oven won't come on.It has a stand by piloet that lights the burner piloet and then is supposed to light the burner. The stand by piolet is lite, when you turn the oven on,the stand by piolet lites the burner piolet, then nothing else happens, the burner will not light. It looks to have a thermocoupler on the piolet system.I can not find any info on this range, can you guys help me.I realy need some sort of a service or repair manual. Thanks for your time. Please help.

Thank you so much.Yes I think it is positioned in the flame alright,it looks like the end is burnt. From the looks of the parts in the parts catalog it looks like you may have to buy the gas valve assembly, not just the thermocoupler,is that true? Thank you ever so much

Before you go replacing that safety valve it would be wise to do a little more testing, these valve do fail but not that often. Most of the time on these systems the problem is a slightly plugged pilot oriface making the secondary pilot flame too small to heat the capillary bulb enough to open the valve. Is the capillary bulb fully engulfed in the secondary pilot flame when the oven t-stat is turned on? With the oven t-stat on and secondary pilot burning hold a bbq lighter flame under the capillary bulb to add direct heat, (keep your arm/hand down low and out of the way of the burner so you don't burn yourself if the burner comes on). If the main burner lights with the added flame from the lighter then you most likely just need to do some cleaning.

Did you take the pilot assembly off and clean it, (use a fine sewing needle and gently probe the pilot oriface, you don't want to enlarge it just clean it out), not the main burner.

I use isopropyl alcohol and compressed air to clean out the orifices. Use a rubber-tipped nozzle attachment on the air hose so you can make a tight seal on the orifice and blast it through. 80 psi will do the trick.

Dayyam, whoda thunk all thayat? I think I misled you-- I use an air nozzle, similar to this one, not an air gun. I use it with an air tank that I charge in the morning before I head out on service calls.
