I have a Fisher & Paykel DD603. Both drawers stopped working with same error, F3. It will run for about 5 minutes then stop with F3 error. Water does not drain and I have to unplug to reset.  It is also stuck on the last wash setting, the inside buttons don't change the wash cycle, or eco mode. When wash stops, water is warm but not hot.

Any suggestions on things to check? Is there a common part that will cause both drawers to fail with same conditions?

Thanks!

Here are the trouble shooting steps for F3:

F3 Water temperature sensed at greater than 85°C ( 185°F)

1 Is the incoming water temperature greater than 85°C (185°F)

Y: Adjust the incoming water temperature.
N: Go to Question 2

2 Is the element on all the time?

Y: Replace the electronic controller
N: Go to Question 3

3 Are the wiring and connections from the controller to the element all okay?

Y: Go to Question 4
N: Repair or replace wiring harness or wiring connections

4 Are there any signs of moisture around the temperature sensor?

Y: Locate and repair source of leak
N: Go to Question 5

5 Is the resistance of the temperature sensor correct?

Y: Go to Question 6
N: Replace heater plate assembly

6 Does the machine fault again if run through a test cycle?

Y: Go to Question 1
N: No fault found

Can controller temperature reading be recalibrated?

This is happening on both drawers.

The incoming water temp is about 25C (less than 85C)
The element is on, but the water temp is about 35C when it dishwasher stops with F3 error.

I took apart one drawer there was no moisture around the temp sensor.

The resistance off the circuit board, measured correctly at 20/30/60C. Same resistance was found when measured at controller connector.

Ran a fast test cycle and turned on the temp display mode. The temp displayed was 80C during fill after about 2 minutes, it displayed 85C and stopped with F3 code. Water temp inside tub was 35C.

Temp sensor on 2nd drawer measured correct at controller connector.

I cannot swap controllers because both have the same problem. Temp sensor resistance is good, but controller displaying incorrect water temp.

It appears the controller is converting the temp sensor resistance incorrectly, is this adjustable? Does this indicate the controller is bad?
