I have been searching and reading and have seen this question asked a lot in the forums but I really haven't seen it answered or at least a follow-up on the thread to say what was done to correct this problem so here goes...

I have a customer with this SxS refrigerator that has a warm fresh food section. I checked the coil and the frost pattern is fine and the defrost cycle is working fine as well.  So, upon further investigation I discovered that the damper door is in the fully closed position.  I can pull it open and push it closed and it works freely.  I have never had this problem before so I'm needing a nudge in the right direction.  I was about to order the thermister for the fresh food side to see if that would correct the problem but I really hate to play a guessing game on a customer's refrigerator.  Call backs are never good for you reputation.  If anyone has any pertinent info on this problem please help me out.

Thanks in advance!

Well, I followed the posted diagram and diagnosed that the main control board was bad.  I replaced the board and 24 hours later the customer called back with the same problem...warm fresh food side.  I returned and check all thermisters again and they were all within the specified range.  I replaced all three thermisters anyway just for fun.  I plugged the refrigerator back in and within 2 minutes the damper door closed off completely again.  I told the customer to let it run until tomorrow and let me know how it does.  This thing is driving me crazy!  Any other suggestions?

i would ohm out the door switches from the harness at the board. if the door is open for 2 minutes it will go into liner protect mode. and close the damper and run the fan on high

the switches are a 3 way switch so verifying the light turns off is not a valid test.

EDIT i just double checked and the freezer switch is a 3 way and the fresh food is just a normal on/off switch. i would definately check them and if they are ok the only thing left is the damper itself.

Thank you very much for your input.  The problem was indeed a faulty freezer door switch.  I would never have thought to check that with your post so thanks again!
