Hi,

my whirlpool dw stopped working..

i was on the phone, so i had to open the dw door so i could hear  (ughh), when i closed the door dw would not come on.

i checked the door switches, they are ok

i checked the tan wire feeding the timer, it has voltage. i then checked a blue wire with the timer turned on and it has voltage.

i cannot hear the timer, which i normally would hear if the dw was running...help

john

OK, but what Neutral (ground) connection did you test it to ?  (the frame?) ...

The White Neutral Wire-nut connector behind the Kick Panel may be burnt / corroded.

well i looked at the connections again, this time i took them apart.

the neutral wire from the dw was indeed loose, even though it did appear fine..repaired that and dw is fine.

thank you for your help!
