The electronic box that houses the "coldness" dials and digital display for the refrigerator and freezer and the light for the refrigerator is not working!  The light in the refrigerator is not coming on (It's not just burnt out, I took out the bulb and tested it in another light and it is working) and the digital display of the settings is not lite up.  The freezer light is still working and both the freezer and refrigerator departments are staying cold.  It just seems like the "electronic box" is not working???  Has anyone had this problem before or does anyone have any ideas about what is going on?  I don't understand how it can still be cold if the electronic setting controls are not working? Or could it just be the digital display and light socket went out but the setting dials are still working and controlling the temp?  Please help!  I am not even sure what part could have went out to cause this! Thank You!!

Sounds like a bad Main Controller.

The Freezer Lights are controlled by the Freezer Door Switch only.

The Fridge & Crisper Lights are controlled by the Door Switch & the Main Controller.

Thank You for your response!  Quick question though.... Would it still be cooling if the main control was bad?  Also, the ice maker and water dispenser is still working... Could it be the door switch that is bad?

yes it could still cool. the fridge light has its own circuit. i bet you will find a burn spot on the old board. I have replaced 2 in the past year with this exact same symptom. The control board is next to the compressor.

how about a bad door switch? if the switch is broke it wont tell the cpu to turn on the display or turn on the light because they think the door is still closed. easy check and really cheap fix if so

If the CPU thought the Door was closed, the Light would be OFF, but the Display should be ON.

I'm with denrayr, if over-wattage light bulbs were used, it may have burned a trace on the CPU.

I really appreciate all of the help I have gotten for this.  I have never changed the bulb in the frig.  It still has the one that came with it, so it should be the correct wattage.  Is it hard to get to the control board off to check it?
