Hi. I've had trouble in past with the adaptive defrost board on other fridges and thought, maybe its not kicking off the defrost cycle. So, followed the following: "To initiate the defrost cycle, press refrigerator light switch five times in six seconds". I expected to hear the fans, etc. stop running but that didn't happen - thoughts?

That model doesn't have a ADC.

The mechanical Defrost Timer (with red knob) is located behind the front Toe Grille

Remove Toe Grille by pulling it straight away from unit.
