The temperature-control pot on my oven has rather suddenly become harder and harder to turn and is now to the point where my wife can't turn it at all. We use the oven perhaps twice a month at most. The pot works fine electrically-- it does not heat up, and I hear no sound of friction or grinding, but it feels as if the shaft were in a vice. Any ideas as to diagnosis?

Repair Clinic dioes not recognize the existence of this model and therefore shows no parts for it.

FIRST THING , I DONT KNOW YOUR STOVE  but did you try just removeing the knob so you can see where the shaft goes into the control  and putting a drop or two of light oil on it and moveing it around . i find  it works well on hard to turn controls on other brands . sometimes you need a few more drops and 50 or so turns but most of the time it works
