We just move 2 months ago to this house and it has Jenn Air JDR8895AAB Double Oven Dual Fuel Range. It worked fine during inspection and first few weeks after we moved in.

Them the problems with the oven control panel started. First "Keep Warm" start coming on by itself, then it's stopped, but other pads stop working. They actually work randomly. If I keep pressing them for 5-10 minutes, sometimes one or other will work. "Upper Cancel" and "Lower Cancel" work all the time.

When I reset control panel to "Factory Default" by pressing "Upper Cancel" and "Upper Keep Warm" all pads on control panel start working again, but 20-30 minutes they stop responding.

I think it all started after I used child lock, but I am not sure.

If anyone can help me out to fix this problem, I would be grateful. Thank you so much.

You can try the basic test.... turn off the circuit breaker for a few minutes.  Does any of the key pads appear to stay depressed?  Run thru the child lock-out again, see if any thing changes. I do not recall if this unit has seperate key pad from o.c.u.(clock)  Clean ribbon wire contacts at board..... try the power on/off first  keep us posted...................................

Thanks for quick response. I did before unplug the unit from the power outlet for 10 minute and it didn't help (I guess it is the same as turning off the circuit breaker). I also run through Child Lock again and it didn't help to resolve the problem as well.

This oven does have a separate "Clock" pad on the control panel. I am attaching the picture of the control panel.

Anything else I can try? Thanks.

Does previos post suggest I need to replace "Clock/switch assembly" to fix the problem? Thanks.

sorry the $35 part seems to be just the panel frame...

the keypad seems to part of the clock/controller

The control panel and all key pads are working fine after I reset it to "Default Settings" and then they stop working after 20 minutes - does that mean it is keypad problem?

Is there anything else can be wrong which I can troubleshoot without buying the whole new keypad? Thanks.

sounds like it's the controller portion anyhow...

whatever you do don't use self-clean

The 950F+ temperatures for 3+ hours, can wreak havoc on oven controllers

If I take out control panel, is there anything I can try to look for and maybe fix, before I spend $200 on new control panel?

If you could separate the keypad and see if there's any "gookum" in there, but I don't think that would cause this problem

If I buy it, installed, and it didn't solve the problem, can I return this electrical part, even if it was installed for a full refund?

If the part was installed, is it in original condition anymore? How hard is to replace the control panel? Do I need any special tools?

easy, no special tools, info on bottom left corner of PDF page 32.

Installation does not change the original condition unless you happen to physically damage it, of it gets electrically damaged from another part of the oven, but there doesn't seem to be that kind of a problem with your oven.
