Unit turns off while cooking but timer keeps counting down. Mag, Cavity light, turntable everything turns off but timer keeps counting down. It happens randomly. Sometimes if the customer waits long enough it will work again for a while but then it happens again.

It may be a loose connection.

Just about every thermal, safety device, door switch, ect. would shut the power off to the display also...

unless the controller itself was bad...

COMON PROBLEM  . its the relay on the control board  .  remove the front control ass . and then remove the board so you can look at the back  the solder had melted off the relay pins . resolder . you should be ok . if its not that the realy is bad . i have been useing the realys from dead ge spacemakers    the realys are the same    .. otherwise  replace the board         BOB
