Hi,

I have experienced an F1 error on my Fisher & Paykel DD603.
It turned out to be a leaking internal water in hose (actually it was blown !!!). The hose it connected between the water in/shutter and the actual front of the drawer.

I cleaned up the water and then tried to use the other drawer, and then the same problem happened (the internal hope 'exploded' due to the high pressure)!!

Looks like the water pressure is too high for the internal hoses (either is needs to be limited, or the water is blocked at the front panel(maybe a shutter problem), causing it to blom the hose).

But how come it happened on both drawers ?

Any idea of why/how this happened ?

A servicemanual would be a great help, in order to help identify the problem.

Any help or assistance is highly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

I dont know why this has happened to your unit (especially both drawers) But I saw this condition for the first time last month. A restricter on one of the water valve outlets dislodged and thusly was allowing full pressure water into the hose, causing it to swell and burst.
It flooded the lower compartment and caused the connections on the mains board to short out, necessitating the replacement of same and a new wiring harness to the top.
Only thing to do is replace the water valve assy. Be sure the resrictor is firmly ensconsed in the outlet port (you can see it)
